Our Story
Robert F. Edens (Bob) is the founder of American Technology Solutions, established in 2010 after a fulfilling career with AT&T, Bell Labs, and Lucent Technologies. During his three years at Bell Labs as a Tier 4 Engineer, he supported advanced network technologies and complex enterprise environments—experience that strengthened his technical depth and problem‑solving capabilities.
Throughout his tenure at AT&T and Lucent, Bob built strong leadership, sales, and technical expertise while managing key national accounts including Black & Decker, USF&G, E.I. Dupont, and AlliedSignal (now Honeywell). His ability to deliver tailored, customer‑focused solutions set him apart and shaped the service philosophy he carries forward today.
Bob holds certifications from the Project Management Institute (PMI) and a Six Sigma Global Institute Black Belt, equipping him to help organizations navigate communication, technology, and operational challenges. Although his corporate career was rewarding, the pace of large enterprises often limited his ability to make rapid, customer‑centric decisions—ultimately inspiring him to build a company where responsiveness and personalized service come first.
In 2020, he expanded the business to form American Technology Solutions & Cloud, delivering integrated premise‑based and cloud‑based communication services across Phoenix, Tucson, and all of Arizona. In 2025, the company extended operations into Salt Lake City, UT, continuing its growth across the Southwest.
Today, with more than 100 years of combined team experience and over 700 customers served, American Technology Solutions remains committed to delivering reliable, modern, and customer‑driven technology solutions.
