Project Overview
Two data centers. One connected job site.
American Technology Solutions & Cloud (ATSC) designed an integrated EnGenius Technologies network, Wi-Fi, and AI video surveillance solution to support the construction of two large data centers in the Phoenix, Arizona metropolitan area.
Rather than designing a network for the eventual occupants of finished buildings, ATSC needed to build a robust technology infrastructure specifically to support the construction phase of two major data center projects. Contractors, subcontractors, project managers, engineers, supervisors, and inspectors all needed reliable connectivity from laptops, smartphones, and tablets while working throughout the sites — and the project required video surveillance across both active construction environments plus connectivity between the two separate locations.
ATSC built the solution around the EnGenius Cloud ecosystem: Wi-Fi 7 wireless networking, 10-Gigabit switching and fiber connectivity, AI-enabled video surveillance, and a Point-to-Point wireless bridge between the two data center sites.

The Challenge
A construction site with the demands of an enterprise network
Modern construction projects depend on digital information. Project teams rely on cloud-based applications and connected devices to access drawings, specifications, schedules, and project-management systems from the field — and large data center construction takes those requirements to another level.
The size of the facilities, the number of contractors, the geographic separation of the two sites, and a constantly changing physical environment created several key requirements:
- Extensive Wi-Fi coverage throughout both active construction sites, with enough capacity for a large population of connected devices
- A high-performance 10-Gigabit network backbone distributed on single-mode fiber
- Centralized Cloud management and visibility of the network infrastructure
- AI-enabled video surveillance across both indoor and outdoor construction areas
- A wireless Point-to-Point connection allowing the two sites to share a common network environment
- An infrastructure capable of adapting as construction progresses
The result required much more than temporary jobsite Wi-Fi. ATSC needed to design a complete construction technology platform.

1. High-Performance Wi-Fi 7 for the Construction Workforce
Each data center site uses 72 EnGenius ECW536 Wi-Fi 7 access points — 144 in total — giving contractors and project personnel broad access to Internet and network resources while working throughout the site. Rather than returning to a temporary construction office, workers can access online resources from laptops, smartphones, and tablets in the field.

2. Cloud-Managed AI Video Surveillance
With 40 EnGenius ECC100 AI cameras deployed at each site, project teams get video coverage across strategically selected areas — entrances and exits, equipment and material storage, staging locations, and other designated areas. The Cloud-managed platform lets authorized personnel access surveillance remotely, while AI and edge-based analytics help identify events that need a closer look.
The same camera infrastructure doubles as a remote project-visibility tool. Executives, project managers, and contractor teams who can't be on site every day can observe construction activity, confirm progress at different stages, and supplement meetings and reports with real-time visual information.

3. Connecting the Two Data Centers Wirelessly
One of the most distinctive parts of the project is the connection between the two physically separate construction sites. ATSC deployed an EnGenius EOC600 Point-to-Point wireless solution — one outdoor unit at each data center — creating a wireless bridge that lets the two locations share a common network environment without relying exclusively on a physical fiber run between the properties.

Centralized Management
One Cloud ecosystem, not six separate systems
Managing technology at this scale across two large sites could easily become an operational burden. By standardizing on the EnGenius Cloud ecosystem, ATSC centralizes visibility and management of the network and surveillance infrastructure — simplifying administration and troubleshooting across both locations.
A Network Designed for an Evolving Job Site
A construction site never stops changing — walls go up, equipment moves in, new work areas open, and contractors shift from one part of the project to another. The EnGenius architecture gives ATSC the flexibility to adjust access points and network resources as coverage needs evolve, making the network an active part of the construction process rather than a static installation.
Supporting the Connected Workforce
A superintendent reviewing plans on a tablet, an engineer pulling specs on a laptop, a contractor communicating from a smartphone — all of it depends on the network. The objective is simple: bring the network to the contractors instead of requiring the contractors to find the network.
One Integrated Architecture
The complete deployment across both sites

What Does ATSC Provide for Data Centers?
American Technology Solutions & Cloud (ATSC) provides technology infrastructure solutions designed to support data centers throughout the construction phase and into ongoing operations.
Our capabilities include high-performance wired and wireless network infrastructure, Wi-Fi 6/6E/7, 10-Gigabit switching and fiber connectivity, Point-to-Point wireless communications, cloud-managed networking, AI-enabled video surveillance, structured cabling, cybersecurity, Internet connectivity, Cloud/VoIP communications, and ongoing technical support.
For data center construction projects, ATSC can design and deploy temporary and permanent technology infrastructure that gives general contractors, construction teams, project managers, subcontractors, security personnel, and other authorized users reliable access to the communications and network resources they need across large and rapidly changing construction environments.
By combining network design, deployment, cloud management, security, and ongoing support through a single technology partner, ATSC helps reduce complexity while providing the scalability required as a data center construction project progresses from groundbreaking through completion and operation.
Why This Matters for Data Center Construction
Modern data center construction sites depend on reliable connectivity long before the permanent data center network becomes operational.
Construction management platforms, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, security cameras, access systems, project documentation, cloud applications, VoIP communications, and coordination between contractors all depend on access to a reliable network.
Traditional construction-site connectivity can become increasingly difficult to manage as projects expand, buildings take shape, crews relocate, and additional contractors arrive onsite. Data center projects present an even greater challenge because of their size, security requirements, technology density, and demanding construction schedules.
A properly designed cloud-managed network gives project teams the ability to expand coverage as construction progresses, centrally monitor network devices, support security and surveillance systems, and maintain communications across the jobsite.
For projects involving multiple nearby construction sites, Point-to-Point wireless technology can also provide a high-speed connection between locations without waiting for additional carrier circuits or trenching new physical cabling between properties.
More than faster Wi-Fi, the result is a secure, connected technology infrastructure that keeps complex data center construction projects productive and on schedule.
